Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
The hotel was steps away from Dogo Onsen and we loved that the hostel gave us yukata and slippers for our stay. It was really nice to have a deep bathtub, especially after 2 days of biking. The lighting options were very nice in the room, and the bed was comfortable. The Dogo Onsen area of Matsuyama is lovely and it would be worth it to stay for more than a day.
The host was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. The location was right in the heart of dogo onsen. The facilities were clean, and the bed was nice, even had extra blankets and blanket warmers for the winter. The toilets were downstairs but it wasn't too bad. Would highly recommend if you want a cheap hostel near the famous hot springs!
Great location in the picturesque Ghibli styled Dogo Onsen area of Matsuyama. Very nice hostel rooms and nice owner who provided good insight into the local area.
A cheap accomodation just next to famous Dogo Onsen. Japanese hostels are just another level! Very clean and beautiful, shared dormitories with max. 6 people. Each bed has its own curtain, so you can hide yourself and have some privacy. The owner of the hostel is super friendly and gives you recommendations about what to do in Matsuyama :)
Great Hostel. We were offered a private room at check in for less money than the beds in the dormitory.
Comfortable Japanese room.
Good location close to dogo onsen.
The hostel is near the Dogo Onsen station and you can walk just 3 minutes from the station. The price was also cheap. In the room, the guests are not many and a little quiet.
there is no breakfast, you can use the kitchen if you dare. The host is extremely nice and helpful, and the location you cant beat: a quiet road, directly in the busy center of Dogo Onsen - that is really great! The hostel is very cheap and you get what you pay for, although I must say the beds are very comfortable and the 4 beds per room better than in most places. Also very clean.
This is a good budget chain. The hotel is in a great location between the JR and the city station, right next to a tram stop. The castle can be seen too. The room is clean and comfortable and the breakfast is included.
