1. BONITO has a very good location and is very convenient. After getting off the plane at Kochi Airport, take the airport bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the Hari maya bashi stop near Kochi Station. It only takes 6 minutes to walk there.
2. Turn left at the door of BONITO and you will find the convenience store LAWSON 10 meters away. Walk another 3 minutes and you will find SEVEN ELEVEN.
3. What’s even better is that it’s less than 5 minutes’ walk from Kochi’s most famous Hiromi Market, where you can go there to enjoy delicious grass-grilled bonito tuna.
4. If you want to visit Kochi Castle, it only takes 15 minutes to walk there casually.
5. What I want to tell you the most is that BONITO is very neat and cozy. It makes you feel like you're home! The bathroom, toilet and sink are all very clean and comfortable.
6. BONITO has a small kitchen and two tables. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, oven, electric stove, and all dishes and tableware.
7. In the cozy small dining room, hand-drawn plants and plant anatomy diagrams by Botanist, Tomitaro Makino who was born in Kochi, are hung on the wall. They look very elegant and you can feel the owner's delicate and warming heart.
8. BONITO has coin-operated washing machines and dryers.
If you plan to visit Kochi in Shikoku, BONITO will be a good choice.

Everything. Staff super friendly and helpful. English spoken. Perfect location for those on Henro.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Exceptionally friendly staff! Great location that is quiet yet can reach Hirome Market and JR Kochi Station with a comfortable stroll. Modern and comfortable room, with a separate bathroom for each booking (2 rooms, 2 bathrooms).
Its a good place to sleep, rooms are really big if compared with other rooms in Japan
Clean with a lot of amenities
For me the best thing is that the sound proof of the rooms is super, so I don't get annoyed from neighbours
A quality business hotel with a decent-sized spotlessly clean room, a window that opens a little, fresh towels each day and a comfortable bed. It's also in a great location, on the tramline and close to good restaurants, etc
One of the best hostels I have been to in Japan. The staff were amazing, the place was comfortable and cosy and it had a really nice atmosphere throughout the whole stay. Have to mention that the owners were very helpful with anything I needed and were super friendly.
The youth hostel spirit was very strong, with frequent conversations between owners and customers in the lounge. Taro was very friendly and had tips for the city and region. Free breakfast (Japanese style) was available every morning.
Great hostel!! In a great location and the owner was very kind. He gave us several recommendations to do around Kochi and helped us with our plans. We are already planning to stay here again when we visit kochi in the future 😃
A receptionist was nice person. Information handed out at the counter helped me a lot check in and out. The floor I stayed has good security and I felt safe. The room was not only tidy and clean but cozy and warm so I was able to take a good rest.
One thing I am thankful is that this hostel has parking lot. If it charged guests less it would be awesome but still it's helpful for me who travel with car.
