Looking for a hostel?
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

The location of Hostel Tomar is near the JR Furano Station and there are many nice restaurants within a 5-15min walking distance. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They provided many great recommendations on places to visit and eat. Hostel Tomar also has many facilities including a big shared kitchen and a rooftop bar that opens in the summer. You could also rent bicycles to explore the area at an affordable price. Overall, the hostel is clean and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure that the guests' stay is comfortable

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Great modern facilities, plenty of space both in the room and common areas, nicely located near the main station and bus stops, nice prices for their rental bikes... and best of all, very helpful and welcoming staff. I recommend renting a bike and enjoying the mountain views while you explore the surrounding area. I'll definetly come back if I have the chance :)

Great location and cheap, lacking a communal atmosphere due to no lounge area but the price and local compensate.

I stayed over New Year's. The hostel had different events taking place: making soba and mochi, visiting the local shrine and doing calligraphy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, both in these activities and in general. The hostel has a nice open design and it was easy to meet new people. Very affordable.

Hostel was located convenient location around 10 minutes walk away from station. The staff were generally friendly and the rooms felt safe with multiple keys to access the building/room. The beds have privacy with curtains and felt cozy. The restrooms were clean and had areas to get ready and change, in addition to sinks and toilets.

The staffs are helpful and friendly. The female bunk bed dormitory is clean and quiet most of the time. Bunk beds are spacious with comfy bed. I manage to get good rest for 3 nights stay. Kitchen is well equipped with fairly large lounge area. WiFi connection is fast too. Will definitely recommend this accommodation to friends who want to visit Furano !
