Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Comfortable hotel in great location beside train and bus station. No catering facilities, but a kitchen/dining area on the ground floor and a Lawson supermarket just up the road, and one very good restaurant a short walk away. Don't miss the fountain and light show in front of the station in the evening!
it was a very quaint but spacious hostel with great and ample facilities. Easy luggage storage, not far from anywhere (train station, onsen, Lawson)
staff were great too and so was the kitchen with complimentary spices, cooking oil and tea.
even had a cheaper ticket to the (also exceptional) onsen
Beautifully cared for and decorated, everything a traveller could need, very friendly owners, very well organised, excellent kitchen and comfy sitting area ... one of the best hostels ive ever stayed at.
The youth hostel is perfectly located near Aso JR station, the bus centre, a nice onsen, a lovely salon, and a restaurant which offers great food at a reasonable price. All of the facilities can be accessed within 3 minutes by walking. Cuddly Dominion where you can enjoy a helicopter ride is just 15 minutes walking distance from the hostel. I recommend this lovely hostel to everyone who wants to explore Aso and Kurosawa Onsens
Exceptionally clean hostel with great staff and respectful guests. The kitchen is in great condition and has all the supplies you need. Particularly enjoyed the kotatsu table with shelves upon shelves of Manga. The mixed dorm was good size and felt safe. There’s the train station, Toyota rentacar, a lawson and great Onsen across the road.
Great location, very helpful staff! They helped me with a lot of things :) The Hostel is just incredible, the best place I have stayed so far!! Thank you very much :)
