Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
The amenities...pool table, ping pong, water front, play park and pool across the street. The hostel was friendly, clean, huge and completely appointed kitchens.
Comfy beds, too. Clean, private/shared bathrooms.
Original art work all around the facility.
The hostel had darts, pool table and ping pong plus a massage chair. It was nice being close to the water. Staff were great Everything was very comfortable and convenient other than the pillow and mattress cover.
a place with character! A huge old fishing factory refurbished to a hostel/cultural centre. You'll have to like the industrial look & feel, for us it was a prefect surprise. The village has quite a weird setting, by the sea in a flat valley, but within reach of many highlinghts of the South. it's simply beautiful.
Staff super friendly. We had booked a room for 4, and they gave us 2 rooms of 2 instead, which was great. The Hostel is very big, with a very large room with billiard, table tennis and other games which was great, especially travelling with teenagers. It was very quiet, so we slept really well. Lots of cooking space. Price was very reasonable.
Very nice hostel with fully equipped kitchen. Rooms are basic but fully sufficient. All is very clean. Good location for golden ring as well as for airport. Kind and nice staff. Can only recommend.
Great location next to the sea and a restaurant, staff really friendly and helpful, everything we needed in the kitchen, and the ghost museum was great we loved it!
We arrived quite late (23:30) and the check in was really easy, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and quiet. The common rooms and the kitchen were clean and had everything you need for a stay. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Sometimes the hostel owner organizes cultural events, when we slept there we were lucky to listen to a Canadian songwriter. The atmosphere was really nice - a perfect way to end our vacation on Iceland.:)
Huge hostel, with a large equipped kitchen, large common areas and very clean. Inside there are a small bar, ping pong table and other games...we were a group so we had so much fun.
We saw the sunset over the sea from the big window and the northern lights from the terrace, such a wonderful evening!
Jirka was very kind and always present for us from our arrival to our departure.
Fully recommended!!
We were looking for a place to spend a night (and re-pack after 12 days camping in Iceland) before flying out the next day early morning (driving time to Keflavik airport was bout 1:20). The ArtHostel was perfect as there is a lot of common space which we could use to dry things and re-pack.
