This was such a beautiful experience. As someone who was on his first solo trip and not having stayed at hostels, staying at Tamasha was everything I hoped a stay at hostel would add to my trip. I stayed for 5 nights.
Pragya is such a wonderful host giving her best to not just make her guests feel as comfortable as possible but also trying to engage them in various activities. A special mention to her parents who are always there to help.
The view from the balcony and the terrace alone is worth the stay. The cafe area comes alive at night when other hostellers return from their day excursions to chat and talk about any and everything under the sun.
The dorms are clean and cleaned every morning. The hostel is located in the old part of Udaipur and is just a stone’s throw away from City Palace and other major attractions. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an experience where they not only get to enjoy the beauty of Udaipur but also make new friends. Truly a home away from home.

We were upgraded to the nicest room in the property and it was lovely. Large comfortable bed with a lovely view out of the window.

The manager was a very friendly, hard working and helpful man who organised things for us and was always responsive on WhatsApp.
We liked that this property was outside of the town centre but a short walk in. It felt quieter and more peaceful.

Whereabouts is in a great location with a rooftop overlooking the fort. It’s also next to delicious street food.
Yashab and Aishwarya absolutely made our stay. They hosted us so well and were really useful with tips across Udaipur and our next destinations. I can’t recommend Whereabouts enough. We booked 2 days and ended up staying 4!

Everything! The view from the upstairs is breathtaking. The hostel also has a great location within walking distance from the main tourist attractions. The stuff and owners were very polite and cooperative which made the stay at the property even more enjoyable. Tamasha is one of the best hostels we've ever stayed in! Pragya and Elivia are such gems and went above and beyond to make our stay the best! The scooty tour was great fun and we got to see the beautiful Bodi lake. They also made a special surprise for our anniversary which was so thoughtful of them!

The private room and bathroom was the cleanest (hot water did take some minutes to get hot but that’s the norm)

Great location, beautiful surrounding
atmosphere. Most friendly and helpful staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hostel. Everything about the hostel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish. Food was good and great value for money. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
The staff in Hostel Mantra will do everything to welcome you as you're coming home. Located next to the lake, you'll be able to enjoy fresh evenings on the rooftop. They are also offering free Chai at sunset! Don't miss it!
