Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The host Mr. Abbas is a very good and polite human.
Everything was perfect as per price. Room and toilet were clean and equipped with hot water facilities. Room was spacious and well comfort.
I must recommend this homestay if you are a budget traveler and wanting a homely environment.
The staff were really friendly and hospitable.
Great location. Good food. Mr Jithin at the reception
made all the arrangements we needed.
Wheelchair access available
The property was clean, well located and maintained. The staff was very helpful with all the indications on how to arrive at Thekkady and to the hostel. It has a wide range of budget friendly options with reasonable prices. There were mosquito nets on the window and they also helped me with the booking of the tickets for the National Park
Probably the best hostel we have ever stayed in. The owner is super helpful and caring in his manner. we felt looked after and met some lovely people here
A perfect budget option.
the owner is a really nice guy and very helpful. and the bedroom was lovely and clean, with clean bedsheets!! (a nice change from so many other budget options we’ve stayed at). the shower was working fine.
it was in a peaceful area and the balcony looks straight out into the jungle where monkeys can be seen in the tree tops. - there was a few there waiting for us.
our stay here was so restful!
(also there was room to keep our bicycle safely- for any future bike tourers)
I went there with my family. Its a nice budget friendly place to stay. Mr. Abbas (Property Owner) helped us a lot and he is very friendly and caring. I am strongly suggest the Spice cottage home stay for the safe and happy experience especially for the families.
