Warm welcome from hosts. Excellent full continental and Irish breakfast. Great location to town. Able to get a great evening meal with visit to local hostelry with music after in Kilkenny itself. One of very few times managed during our 3 week stay in Ireland.
Great location in centre of Kilkenny easy walk to castle etc. Parking was good in the area behind next door hotel. It was nice for the host Margaret to meet us on arrival. It is advertised as budget room so in that sense all was provided. Nice shower.Nice curtains; bedding etc was reasonable, kettle pus tea and coffee provided
It’s a great place to stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great location and cheap cost for large groups. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning in the future.
Great location. 5 minutes walk from train station which has cheap rate with overnight parking.
Lots of bars, eateries and short walk to tourist attractions.
I used Kilkenny as a base to visit other places.
Plenty of plug sockets for my stupid amount of chargers. Plenty of facilities on the face of it. Bed was comfortable, room was a nice temperature and although it was a very short stay, it was grand for what I needed. Great location!
The fire alarm went off during the night, which annoying as it may seem, you definitely feel more secure about how safe you are.

Owner was super quick to respond. Asked us to text 15 minutes before we arrived and met us there.
If you are driving - there is parking at the back of the Kilford Arms - cheapest all day parking in Kilkenny !
Just make sure you have coins - to be able to get out at boom gate !
The hostel was in a great location. It was very central, only taking a few minutes to walk to the main street, kilkenny castle and the Christmas market.
We parked a 5 minute walk away where we paid only 2 euro for a full day of parking.
The staff was very welcoming and easy to deal with.
The room was warm and comfortable.
Overall we had a great stay at this location and have no complaints
