The place was impeccable at all times, the friendly cleaning crew were busy from morning until evening. We rented a room with double bed, the excellent shower was just next door and 2 toilets available around the corner. It was quiet at night, even though it's situated just outside the city centre. We walked everywhere or took a tram or metro, which we never had to wait more than 2 minutes for. The free breakfast was incredible for the price we paid for our 4 nights. The free dinner we never ended up eating because we ate out every night, but lovely that it was offered. The hostel staff were welcoming and friendly, as far as we could tell all international travellers too. The WhatsApp group you join at check in was a lovely way to connect to fellow guests and meet up if you want. It also kept you informed of any activities at the hostel.
We took the tip based walking tour with Kumar Amrendra, from the hostel, who flooded us with interesting facts about Budapest and Hungary in general. The tour was also a good way to meet fellow hostel guests as Amrendra kept it very interactive.
In all our stay here was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone, whether on a budget or not, staying at Avenue Hostel just adds to your Budapest experience.

The location was great, felt really safe and was walking distance from most things we wanted to do. The room, even though shared in 8, was very well organized and comfortable. The common area was spacious and there is a window with a nice view. Really recommend, very good price for the value!

Stayed on 2 occasions whilst in Budapest- really great experience overall. Lovely reception staff who are helpful and available at all times. Towels given which was a nice bonus. Good facilities with cafe next door and shared kitchen on 1st floor. Room was comfy with air con and curtains on beds for privacy and good sized storage lockers. Was clean. Very central location. Lots of activities planned by hostel- I didn't join but was a nice option. Good wifi connections.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. On the way to or on the way back it's fine to stay overnight , room was clean and comfortable , location is in a nice suburb of Budapest , your car is safe in the hotel's private garage
