Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Great Location, nice view from the outdoors area. Nice communal space to hang out in with hammocks!
Manager and staff were really lovely and so helpful! Breakfast was yum!
Very quiet hostel, the room was big enough for one person and cozy. The rooftop area was amazing to relax and have a look at the sunset. The staff was very friendly.
Very nice hostel, quiet, away from the sometimes noisy beach side, but still at a short walking distance. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is fresh and vegan. One small downside, there is no WiFi.
This is a very comfortable backpacker hostel; staff is very friendly and accomodating; they can call a taxi for you to go to Takoradi and it'll be a better price than if you go to arrange one yourself. We were 4 people, 300 cedis ... it was a bargain. But, his aircon didn't work, so there was a lot of dust ... but still it was good value.
Room was comfortable and it felt very safe. Great location.
Cannot get enough of Laughing Goat hostel! Nancy and the rest of the staff are so kind and will help you with whatever you need. The rooftop is stunning, a perfect place for yoga and meditation and to chill or sunbathe if you want to. My room was absolutely fabulous - fan, balcony, private bathroom and mosquito net, all for very good value.
Very chill spot. Beach is indeed 5 minutes walking distance, felt very safe even if it not in the area where the other hotels are located (Busua is very chill and touristic at this point). Staff was very friendly, laundry well done. Conditions are more than good enough. You also find solo travellers around here.
Very quiet during the night. Believe me, you do not want to stay close to a church in Ghana unless you like waking up to preaching to a microphone at 5am ahah, and there's no such thing close by in this hostel.
Scorpion Lodge is in a beautiful spot in Busua and is clean, has good fans and AC, decent food and drink options and very helpful staff (Mike in particular). It's very good value for money and whilst there's more upmarket options in town which are more aesthetic it's a really solid place to stay in all regards - whether you're a backpacker in dorms or if your budget stretches further.
