The stay at the Snow House was fantastic. Snow House is really much more like a big family than a hostel. Zaza, the owner, and his family made us feel so welcome. Zaza told us so much about the region and his family's origins, despite some language barriers. Everyone in the house was super helpful and helped us with every request. Also, since the house was not booked out during our stay, Zaza gave a "private" (dorm) room to me and my friend even though we booked a 4-bed dorm room. There was always a hearty breakfast, so we often didn't have to eat anything during the day. We also ate dinner there every evening. The food is simple but delicious!
Really, the whole stay at Snow House completely changed our experience in Gudauri and in Georgia. Engaging with Zaza and his family, and also the other guests was really a pleasure and was so worth staying there! I can really only recommend it! We want to come back!!
