Beautifully restored Inn. Loved the attention to detail. We had an excellent dinner at the restaurant and the breakfast was great as well. We also enjoyed the opportunity to have couple of pints of Guinness in the beer garden after a long day of hiking.

The room was very clean considering this is a pet friendly hotel. The cafe was convenient, good for drinks after a long hike. The Guinness cake was amazing ! Staff were lovely and very helpful, especially Anna. Great location, although you need a vehicle to access the nearby towns.

Great location between Keswick and Windermere. There’s plenty of parking and the staff member I met was welcoming, friendly and helpful. I only stayed one night on a work trip, the lodge provided a warm and comfortable stopover. I didn’t book breakfast as I’m happy with a cup of tea first thing. Best thing was the big lovely white towels! My room was cheap and only had a velux window so no view unless you stood on the bed.
