It's a quiet little place. Deffo not the spot for getting drunk and partying.

The member of staff who I met, Christina, was absolutely lovely. I was absolutely soaked and freezing after a walk on the Skiddaw tops but she let me check in early, which was a real bonus. Thank you, Christina. Fantastic single showers and a wonderful location. Car parking is free, and the Wi-Fi is good in the areas where it reaches - this included my dorm, Walla Cragg. Only a five minute walk into Keswick

Amazing view, comfortable room, great kitchen facilities, parking good.
not space for everyone but considering the location not surprising.
Bar reasonable and good enough range of choices even for vegetarians.
Very relaxed atmosphere and plenty of sitting rooms for residents. The artwork on the walls was a lovely feature.
This Lakeland slate house is 0.5 miles above Buttermere village, and ideal for the famous Haystacks walk. YHA Buttermere has a bar/restaurant with views of the Red Pike and High Stile mountains.

Location was amazing, the view was stunning and the facilities were great. I especially liked the cooked breakfast option and the staff were very kind. The space was clean and neat and the kitchen facilities were well stocked and accessible.

Beautiful building with good indoor areas to sit and chat and lovely outdoor seating right next to a free to visit arboretum.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Beautifully restored Inn. Loved the attention to detail. We had an excellent dinner at the restaurant and the breakfast was great as well. We also enjoyed the opportunity to have couple of pints of Guinness in the beer garden after a long day of hiking.
The room was very clean considering this is a pet friendly hotel. The cafe was convenient, good for drinks after a long hike. The Guinness cake was amazing !
Staff were lovely and very helpful, especially Anna. Great location, although you need a vehicle to access the nearby towns.
Great location between Keswick and Windermere. There’s plenty of parking and the staff member I met was welcoming, friendly and helpful. I only stayed one night on a work trip, the lodge provided a warm and comfortable stopover. I didn’t book breakfast as I’m happy with a cup of tea first thing.
Best thing was the big lovely white towels! My room was cheap and only had a velux window so no view unless you stood on the bed.
