Nice very friendly host... Very cheap price and with breakfast included and a lot of facilities. House is refurbished with everything new. Very happy with the cleanliness and the size of the toilet! Location is also fantastic close to the railway station and the forest paradise which is in the east side of the city, would've given a 10 if not was close to sleep outside...

I liked it being close to the station and the Owner was fast to respond.
Located in Newquay, the surfing capital of the UK, Berties Lodge is just 1 mile away from the famous Fistral Beach. The property offers a bar, and there is a nightclub just next door.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Facilities were super clean, modern with a rustic touch. Optimal place for backpackers or roadtrippers to spend the night in a comfy bed and to socialize and meet new people.
Great location and great staff, lovely breakfast each morning with large choice of items, we also booked an evening meal in restaurant and food was beautiful. Parking directly over the road behind hotel which is safe and sound apart from bloody sea gulls, not hotels fault 😃 washed car twice why we were there LOL. Would have no hesitation booking again.
Great location to lots of great places to visit. The cottage was roomy, simple and therefore safe for our little one too.
They had everything we needed, beds were comfy, kitchen well equipped and clean.
The vibes were nice in the sense that all of the guests that were staying there were friendly. We all sat by the fireplace, had a coupe beers, and just connected like backpackers do. I haven't felt those type of hostel vibes in a while, so it was really great to just sit by the fire and connect with the people. They also had 2 dogs that were very friendly. The owners were really nice!
Lisa the host was amazing - my hubby & I had the best time chatting, pootling around the garden, having a personal & immensely knowledgeable tour guide! The property was stunning. Great location, beautifully done up and spotlessly clean. Bed was comfy, we both slept really well. Shower was good. Food was great! Generous portions and was safe for my hubby, who has a severe dairy allergy. We are already planning our next visit, can't wait :)
