Great location, friendly bar downstairs, cooking facilities, comfortable beds, helpful staff, secure bike storage all very welcome features
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
This is one of the best hostels I have ever been to : the view on mount Snowdon is beautiful, everything is nice and cosy, and the hosts are very thoughtful and welcoming. I highly recommend!
It was very tired damp. My sheets were dirty. The floors were dirty. Just a very run down place.
Someone is making a lot of money as it's in a great location. Plus Plus £50 a bed per night they had about 30 beds.
Just because it's a bunkhouse it doesn't have to have dirty sheets rundown dirty. I have stayed in some lovely bunkhouses clean and a lot cheaper.
Definitely over priced
Great location to access Pyg Track and Miners Track in front of hostel and other trail paths behind it. I used this as my base for 1 night to run/hike around the area. I also like that there’s a bus stop outside to reach Llanberis. Comfy, clean and lovely staff.
The hostel itself is beautiful, very nicely decorated, with loads of information scattered all over the main room. The bunk bed area is nice and tidy. Toilets are clean and decent. There is a terrace with a beautiful view and plenty of parking. A really good base for any trips in Snowdonia. Sonni was very helpful and replied to my queries instantly.
I just liked evrything about it. Its in a great location if you liie to do walking/hiking or just want to see Snowdonia. The rooms are exactly that a bunk bed and an adjoining bathroom with a shower sink and toilet in it. Just what you need to rest your head after a long hike. Like its as basic as you can get which for me is exactly what i wanted. The pub downstairs also sells food and does a breakfast from 8.30 and the food there is great too! I would definitely go back there. :)
Absolutely fantastic location for walking around Snowdon and the National park. Incredible value for money, especially going in December when I went. Great kitchen facilities to make your own food. I ended up being ‘upgraded’ to a 6 person dormitory all to myself. The beds all have plug sockets accessible which was great and a little light also. A very well structured and kept hostel. The breakfast was good value for money.
