Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Great central location, and excellent value for money. Great that there's a shared kitchen for self-catering. It's a budget accommodation, and a reasonable alternative to hotels in the city (since the Travelodge/Ibis closed to paying customers to house refugees, there really isn't a basic, cheap, safe. clean option in the city centre.
A lot of thought and consideration as to what you might need during your stay.
Neat and compact.
Like my own personal 'Youth Hostel.'
The close proximity to the canal.
Nice welcome from the staff and very accommodating with the private parking. We had 5 bikes to park up and so they allowed us to park in the garden area so they were safe. Great location, across the road the walk along the canal led into the centre. There was always free fruit, chocolates, snacks and water available. Although no cooked breakfast what was on offer was lovely. Rooms were clean and ensuite which is great.
It was good value if you are on a budget, being the cheapest accommodation available in Lancaster at the time of booking. The owners were very nice and breakfast choice was sufficient, being a very basic continental breakfast.
This property was spotless, well equipped and in a great location on the site.. Julie gave us all the instructions we needed and checked that we arrived safely and understood boiler etc. This trip was very special to us... Will definitely be back.
Great location, perfect for us. Very good communication from the owner. Outstanding value for money. Extremely clean. Easy to find. Safe area. Handy shop two doors away. If we go back to Lancaster, we would definitely stay there. Perfect for arrivals by train. Facilities, especially the televisions, fantastic. Netflix a nice touch. Great shame that we didn’t find the house sooner as we have stayed in Lancaster a few times over the last three years.
Great location in central Gloucester, Wetherspoons literally next door, very handy indeed. Staff were extremely helpful especially with the parking as none is available at the property. On that subject there us a small pay and display car park directly opposite the hotel entrance where £1.50 buys overnight parking. All other aspects of the accommodation present and correct, could not fault the cleanliness in any way. Good centrally located budget hotel, would recommend.
