Glen Nevis Youth Hostel, hotel in Kinlochleven

Located at the foot of Ben Nevis, the long-established Glen Nevis Youth Hostel is just 3 miles from the large town of Fort William.

Stunning view, large kitchen with lots of free spices and kitchen utensils. They even have a laundry as well. I think it's free for the guests but I'm not sure as I didn't use the facility. And the car park at the back of the property is much bigger than Google images.

I was in one of the tent boxes - it was ample space and confortable thanks to the matress. The staff where very helpful and let me store a bicycle in a dry and safe place. Great location, beautiful landscape, would recommend it 100%.

Very convenient lodge in a quiet environment. We felt as if we were youngsters in a small youth hostel, and we enjoyed it. The common parts were very clean and practical. Our daughter loved observing the deers nearby!

Very well equipped kitchen and dining room. Decent shower in the room and bunk beds were comfy. Nice location to explore Kinlochleven - the walk up to the Grey Mare's Tail is well worth doing. There wasn't a lockable shed, but the staff kindly let me store my bike indoors. I'm sure it would have been safe outside anyway.

The rooms were very clean and well suited for familys with en-suite bathrooms and full bedding provided. The community kitchen was great with many appliances, fridges, grocery sharing and cake leftovers from a baking contest. It was nice to cook there and meet new people. The entry by password was convenient. Blackwater Hostel is an above the average hostel for sure.
