Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Excellent. Cleanest and most professional hostel I've ever stayed in. All staff are responsive, polite, and engaging. What a breath of fresh air. Shop/pantry is well stocked. Hurrah for Lochinver larder pies!!
It is really well managed. There is everything you need. It's a bit more comfy than other hostels. Well equiped kitchen so definitelly bring your food. The stuff is nice. You have many possible hikes around so you can plan it for two nights for example for the whole NC 500.
Great hostel. Good base for walking and CWT. Excellent shop with food to eat now such as lovely savoury and sweet Lochinver pies as well as lots of food to take on trail such as firepot meals, flapjack, nuts and chocolate.
Good reception with friendly, efficient staff.
Good range of food to buy (Lochinver Larder pies!) also beer, soft drinks, noodles, chocolate etc.
Communal kitchen and dining area - we met and talked with other cyclists and walkers - this is one of the best features of hostels like Inchnadamph.
Dormitory (8 bed). Other residents were incredibly quiet. Beds were really comfortable.
Good plentiful simple breakfast in the morning (cost was extra but good value)
Brilliant drying room and plenty of hot water for the showers.
Location wonderful.
Everything you would expect from a hostel and a lot more. Well-stocked shop, big kitchen, free breakfast, lounge and dining room with roaring fires. Staff were lovely and friendly. I'm currently staying in a place three times the price but half as nice! Would highly recommend.
Room was nice, basic but with everything you would need. Staff were good and they had good information on hand about the local walks and had arrangements in place to ensure that people were arriving back safely. Excellent staging point for a walk to the bone caves or to the Lochinver Larder.
Amazing location with views.
The hostel offers laundry and drier (for a small fee), as well as a drying room, small shop and great kitchen.
Hikes suggestions, and follow-up or your daily hikes if you want for safety.
Friendly staff!
Comfy bed.
Nice free breakfast.
Tasteful breakfast, really nice and helpful staff, very well equipped kitchen.
There was also a special place where you could play provided board games and read books.
I really recommend this place for backpackers and hiking lovers - there are many beautiful paths around and in hostel the is a drying room.
