Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Selkie House was perfect for our family of four. Great location. Lorna the land lady was so nice and made great breakfast for us every morning. Comfortable beds.
This place is amazing value. Lovely owner, clean and modern rooms, fantastic breakfast.
Excellent Restuarant-takeaway next door, a real gem of a place.
I'm away 100+ nights a year, mainly in Scotland, and I can not think of a better place, at this price, to stay.
Thank you for an excellent night's sleep and an impressive breakfast!
If on a motorbike (NC500) feels like a really safe place to park.
Mary was a lovely host, the rooms exceeded out expectations for a youth hostel and the town is just lovely
