Location was excellent, I was able to walk everywhere and you get a stunning view of the castle as soon as you step out the door! The bar and pool table area downstairs was an excellent place to make new friends and also to dine if you don’t feel up to going out! The hostel also hosted some fun events most days of the week!

The pods are very good to just go in your individual space and close the curtain for Privacy. As with all hostels it depends who you have in the shared room with you at the time. It's better to have a pod at the far end of the room away from the loud fire closing room door but this isn't guaranteed as allocated on arrival. The Duvet was nice 🙂 and comfy and pillow okay much better than any other Hostel. The Reception staff is nice and friendly and informative and a good value Cafe for breakfast and reasonably priced drinks for the city centre. I have stayed here twice now and would recommend staying here again for value for money in the City Centre and free walking tours happen right outside the area to the CodePod Hostel which I will do next time visiting.

The location is amazing. It is 3 minutes from the airport bus stop. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it is surrounded by stores. It is just a few minutes' walk to sightseeing.
On the floor I was staying on, there were two rooms, I imagine they were the same, with four beds in each. Although there was only one bathroom on the floor (2 showers, 1 toilet), I didn't have any problems because I only stayed one night, and since it was January, I imagine it wasn't at full capacity. I found the hostel to be very clean overall, especially the bathroom, which was spotlessly clean, with no sign of hair in the drain or mold in the corners of the walls.

Great location, the hostel felt safe and clean, was nice to only have ladies around and jeez that was like the only hostel I found with 2-level bunk beds (as opposed to 3-levels in most places!)
I forgot my phone charger and the staff helped me, thanks a lot. Nice shower too.
Great location very close to Haymarket station and central Edinburgh. Very comfortable bunk beds with light, charging point and safe locker. Excellent kitchen facilities and bar. Complementary foods in kitchen.
The host was amazing and offered to meet in person if it was something I needed. The lock box worked perfectly and getting into the flat was easy. We felt safe and secure in and around the flat. It was a great location for the local sights but also far enough away that we didn't need to listen to street noise or neighbors.
The host also has a lot of spices, sugar, tea, coffee, cups, pots, pans, etc. so that you could buy groceries and live cheaper during your visit.
I really liked the vibe. It's a small hostel with a big kitchen which facilitates meeting new people. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe and confortable so a big up to the team!
Hostel has a great location right at The Royal Mile, so close to most attractions and to bus and train station. Personel is friendly and provides additional activities. They have towels inclided in price. It is a typical backpacker place with kitchen access. Place is not to big, but works fine for people on budget.
Probably the best hostel I've ever stayed in! Wonderful people, great location, room was unbelievably comfortable, definitely going to stay in this hostel my next trip to Edinburgh!
Great location, I stayed here multiple times during my trip in Scotland. Room had view of castle. Bathrooms and rooms were clean. Kitchen and seating areas available and clean. Good wifi and PowerPoints at every bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Did let me check in 30 minutes early. Cheap to use laundry machines. Heating in rooms. Exceeded my expectations for a low price. One of the best hostels I've stayed in regarding cleanliness!
I’ve stayed in a few backpackers’ hostels around the world and this was by far the best. Great location, very clean, approachable staff and they really look after your safety, especially if you are female. They provide wonderful cooking facilities and affordable breakfast, as well as complimentary personal hygiene products. I couldn’t have asked for more.
