The location is ideal, a short walk to the centre of Betws-Y-Coed. A two minute walk to an excellent local pub that serves excellent food at a reasonable price.
The beds at the hostel were comfortable, and the showers were fantastic.
This place is a little gem and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for hostel accommodation in the area. The friendly staff were very welcoming and made us feel right at home from the minute we arrived.
Base Camp has not been open for long, but already, it has established itself as a highly attractive place to stay. It will be our first choice for any future trips to the area.

Nice, clean room. Good quality bathroom despite small size. The village centre is 5 mins away on foot.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
It was cheap to stay but I chose it because there was no other option nearby while doing the Snowdonia Way. The owner, Brian was nice and helpful and the dog Blue and the cats were lovely. The shared bathrooms are newly renovated and clean.
Super cool little hostel! Felt like we had the place to ourselves. Big kitchen and common area, nice bathrooms! Room was a little small but overall great place!
Lovely cottage and in a great location. Good facilities, quiet street, shop next door, playground around the corner and everything in the national park was 30-50mins away.
The location, room and facilities were all too quality, the best hostel/guesthouse I've stayed in would definitely recommend for both couples and solo travellers.
Really nice hostel with fully equipped kitchen, comfy lounge and very luxurious bathrooms. Good parking and friendly staff. Great location for exploring north and central Wales. Great value for money.
Owners were very accommodating and helpful, and flexible with out specific requirements as well.
The facilities were impressive, with a large and fully fitted kitchen, well maintained and all toilets and showers were clean and spacious.
The setting was incredible also, we only stayed for one night, however will be returning. This hostel would make a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. And the building itself is memorable and unique, truly one of the best hostels you could visit.
