What an absolute gem of a place to stay! The owners were very welcoming, the hostel is spotlessly clean, and such a quirky set up being an old school. Loved that! Highly recommend a stay! I arrived at night but waking up early and seeing the views from the hostel was lovely, its in a beautiful spot! Please take the time to wander along the road to the old slate quarry, well worth a visit!

Great staff. Darren was wonderful and truly helped us out getting the bus so that we could get off to our hike without it being towed.
Pizza was also very good. Breakfast was a great value for money.

This was the nicest hostel I have stayed at. The view was fabulous. The rooms were excellent. They even provide breakfast and dinner for an extra fee and it is good. I recommend the steak pie or the Pesto Pasta for vegetarian choice.
The staff is lovely. Very helpful.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
We were apprehensive about our stay after seeing one poor review, however the apartment was just as described and pictured in the advert - well decorated, clean and comfortable. The pink exterior wasn’t a negative at all - the houses in the street are all coloured differently!
The property offered everything we needed and is a great location for exploring the area and lovely views from the windows at the back of the property.
3 holiday let’s make up this property and was lovely to speak with the other guests.
A gorgeous property, with all the amenities you might need to make your stay a comfortable and easy one. The hosts were friendly, responsive and always on hand to help out.
A great location, we highly recommend and would book again!
Great location, stayed for a whole week adventuring out into the local area. Hot tub was lovely anytime of the day. Local walks and wild swimming in the stream was also a great experience
My husband and I stayed for a night after climbing Snowden. The property is lovely. Very clean, has all of the facilities you'd need. Beautiful views and great location. The owner is really nice, quick to respond, and also knowledgeable on the area. I will be recommending to friends.
My Husband and I stayed here for x1 night with our large dog. This pod was just simply beautiful. Great location right next to the stream with very relaxing vibes. Onsite restaurant and bar was lovely, along with the staff who were more than accommodating. The hot tub at the pod was just perfect after a long days walk.
Great location, great atmosphere for a self-catered stay, and an interesting history as the first youth hostel in the UK. Staff were a delight and couldn't ask for more in terms of the price!
