Rarely have we stayed in a guesthouse with a host as friendly and accommodating as Cat. We were here two nights in a room just off the common area. It’s small and cozy for two, yet very comfortable and quiet when we closed the windows. We really appreciated a fan in the room for air circulation. WiFi worked fine. We didn’t use the TV although a large one was in the room. Sharing the bathroom wasn’t a problem. In fact, the other guests were lovely and we enjoyed meeting in the common area. Cat has two adorable small dogs that can bark at times but are so sweet and affectionate. We were also fortunate to have nice weather and a 20-30 minute walk into the city center was quite nice. If you have any questions about transport or places to go, Cat is ready to help. We’d happily come back.

Belfast International Youth Hostel, hotel in Belfast

Belfast International Youth Hostel is located 7 minutes’ walk from the Botanic Garden. It offers private and dormitory rooms, an on-site café and a free Wi-Fi zone.

A really nice place to stay, very economical yet a great value for Belfast offering budget accommodation for couples or friends as you can get a double room with en suite toilet and shower and of course have access to a kitchen for self-catering, the latter, a standard feature of youth hostels.

Lagan Backpackers, hotel in Belfast

Lagan Backpackers is a well-equipped hostel in central Belfast. It offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Check in is from 14:00-23:00.

I rated my experience an 8/10 primarily because of Isab. He is incredibly kind and accommodating, as are the other staff members. While the facilities of the hostel may not be outstanding, the friendly and approachable attitudes of the staff significantly improved my stay. Their warmth and dedication made all the difference.

Great location, clean. The only downside is it was so warm. We were on the 11th floor so heat rises and the windows don't open much (for safety reasons obviously), but it didn't detract from our stay.

Located close to the city center, the hostel is worth the price: the rooms are small but clean and the staff is friendly and willing to help. Individual showers is a plus, and other bathroom facilities are what you would expect from a cheap youth hostel. Good experience overall.

Cheap and cheerful hostel. Good location and clean. I stayed in a private room and had my own en suite bathroom, which was handy. Everything worked as expected and the building felt safe and secure.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room itself was exactly what you needed it to be - clean, comfortable, convenient and as a bonus, cheap! It was extremely good value for money and was a great location. Very close to the Botanic Train Station and to the Botanic Gardens/ student area. Some really great places to eat were nearby too. I would definitely stay here again. The area felt very safe and wasn't far to walk to from the city centre. Comes recommended!
