Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Communication was very good and self check in, easy.
The hostel is spacious, well equipped and very clean. The highlight is the beautiful location at the Anstruther Harbour with stunning sea views from the bedroom.
There are a number of coffee shops, restaurants and a very good local bakery, which were very handy.
We loved the coastal path to Pittenweem and the beautiful tidal pool at Cellerdyke.
Great location. Very generous size room which was very clean. We enjoyed sitting in the private guest beer garden with sea view. There was lots of choice for breakfast and it was very tasty.
Darius was an excellent manager. Could not have been more friendly and helpful and always seemed to be around when we needed him. Great guy!
The hostel is in a great location and we had a lovely sea view from our room. The kitchen was well equipped, spacious and very clean. We came to buy seafood and cook ourselves meals; this was very easy to do in this kitchen.
Great location, comfortable room with sea view, comfy shared lounge and practical kitchen for making coffee, breakfast, dinner or eating takeaway fish from the Wee chippy next door which does the best GF fish & chips ever! The host is friendly. It's a cut well above what you might think of as a hostel.
Perfect location and stunning views. Very friendly helpful guy who runs the place (sorry I forgot his name). Relaxed but safe, room very comfy and bright, kitchen well equipped. Beautiful place, more of a boutique hostel, quiet and tranquil. Close to everything.
