Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Superb views over Le Puy. Well appointed suite of rooms. Very clean. Warm welcome by hosts. Not many metres from the cathedral - 2 minutes walk - great location for Pilgrims Mass.
A hostel attached to a hotel, a short distance from the town centre. Easy check in. Spacious en-suite dorm. Good kitchen. Nice garden to sit outside. Would recommend.

Excellent value for money.
Great location, stylish rooms and friendly host, who we loved to talk about life, the universe and everything :-)
He also knows the place well and gives tipps where to go to or eat out. Definitely an excellent address to explore the town or start the camino.
It is described as a budget hotel which is it is. Small, basic rooms but adequate. Good garage for secure parking. Right opposite the restyled train station. Quiet & calm. Receptionists all good, ready to help when needed, good English also spoken if required by guests. Breakfast room “compact” I.e. budget. I stay here one night on return north. It’s a good location & Le Puy is a historic city worth exploring.
You know where you are with an Ibis Budget. It's clean, comfortable and safe. Good location in centre of town near bars and restaurants. On site parking worth the 5 euros as it was pouring with rain. Excellent buffet breakfast for 7,50 euros.
