Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
The breakfast was superior to any I have seen of its kind. I would never have slept in when that petite dejeuner waited. The place was run like official youth hostels were once run when I was young, with a real mind to the needs of the guest, not the convenience or venal needs of staff. Staff here didn't take advantage of the disadvantaged. I'm already planning a return someday.
In a great location near the port, restaurants and the lovely square. The hotel has safe parking (you have to book). it is a safe and clean hotel. Rooms comfortable for a night or two. Good bathroom too. Reasonable and well provided breakfast.
I stayed there before, and the place is quite nice. This time I was in another room, but the facilities were the same. The room was as clean as it could be (the facilities are a bit dated, but it is a youth hostel, so that is kind of a standard :)). There's a small breakfast and a kitchen you can use to cook your own meals too. The hostel is also close to the city centre if you want to wander around.
Overall, it is a nice stay in Cherbourg!
Great location close to the ferry port. Large clean room. Warm and friendly welcome at reception late at night. Plenty of parking outside. Much better than other budget chain hotels in the area. Would stay again.
the chantereyne was much nicer than other budget hotels we have stayed in. we liked the friendly welcome and the 24 hour concierge.
the room was bright, clean comfortable and very spacious. great location next to the yacht marina on one side and pleasant green space on the other.
