Looking for a hostel?
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

It was such a nice experience to stay in BahirDar backpackers! The hostel is really calm and clean, the facilities are good and there is a nice kitchen to cook for yourself. Besides that, Peter the manager is a truly LEGEND! Very positive and welcoming, he speak English fluently and knows a lot about activities in the city. He helped us arrange tour in lake Tana, rent bikes and even to make a birthday party to one of our friends :) I recommend this place with all my heart, enjoy!

It is situated in a convenient area and you can see the view of the lake in front or walk for two minutes to the lake. The rates of rooms are very cheap but they have a grateful facility and hospitality. Their tour offer is also reasonable. I would like to recommend this hotel full of joy.

You can't beat the price and location. Great budget option. The staff are wonderful. Nati met us at the airport and helped coordinate all our tours in Bahir Dar. He even took us out to a delicious fish meal by the lake. I highly recommend organizing tours with him and if you are tight on budget staying at this place. It has all the basics that you need. Only one room's hot water shower works, so don't count on having that. But that's a small price to pay for all the other benefits.

I had a lovely time here. Peter and Cherry looked after me really well and I had a very memorable experience. The hostel is clean, cheap, and comfortable. It's located in a quiet area close to the centre. They helped me organise tours to monasteries, the Blue Nile, as well as a trip to the Simean Mountains. Staying here is a no brainer if you're travelling to Bahir Dar. Thanks guys!
