An amazing, quiet location. Just what we were looking for. They offer both food service and a self-catering kitchen. We went for a random walk and discovered the trail leading to 2 dinosaur footprint locations. About 2 hours return from the lodge. Cross over the river and head up towards the old church. A fairly flat path with great views following the contours of the mountains. We did it with closed sandals.
Situated conveniently in the centre of Logroño, Winederful Hostel & Café offers air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a bar.

The property is centrally located on the main plaza adjacent to the beautiful 12th Century Cathedral de Santa María.
There are several stand out features regarding this albergue which includes superior pod like sleeping berths, each with a USB charging point, a reading light and a privacy curtains.
They also provide fresh, crisp like cotton sheets and pillow case and a warm blanket should you need.
Each bed comes with its own security footlocker and key to store your valuables. Also there is no ridiculous curfew restrictions that I found in a lot of albergues on the Camino.
Access to the building and individual dorms are via a security pad code, which is both efficient and effective.
Facilities aside, the most stand out feature of the Winederful albergue is the staff. Every single member were both attentive and sympathetic to all the needs of weary travels.
Two member of staff made my stay there simply wonderful.
The first person was the cleaning lady Yolesa. I never seen a person work so hard, but always with a smile and even lifted my heavy rucksack to my bunk. Such a genuinely person.
The second outstanding member of staff was Mario. He is such an asset to this albergue. A kind caring gentleman that provided a level of customer service you would expect at a 5 Star hotel. The guy is a polyglot, speaking 4 languages fluently and was so patient with everyone!
His genuine flair for making people feel comfortable with his humour, intelligence and knowledge is unsurpassed in any facility I have ever stayed in Spain and further afield.
Well done Winderfful

Excellent customer service, very helpful. I had a problem not related to my stay and Ezequiel went out of his way to help. The building is very well located, renovated and modern. Perfect for our walking trip. It was quiet regardless of how central it was as the window was an internal window. It would recommend. Thank you for the help.
Albergue Santiago Apostol is situated in Logroño's old town, 250 metres from La Redonda Cathedral. The hostel offers Wi-Fi and shared dining and seating areas.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Location amazing for those travelling with dogs to or from northern Spanish ports.
Enclosed safe spacious grounds. Amazing friendly staff. Lovely good value food.
Great location for overnight stop when driving from SE Spain to the ferry ports. Good safe parking, quiet and peaceful hotel. Good food and just a short walk into Navarrete if so inclined.
The was probably the best hostel I stayed at on my Camino. Laurel was very accommodating and runs a beautiful place.
The grounds are large and there was a lot of space to hang laundry
Cheap and cheerful and the perfect place for a stop over en route to or from bilbao or santander. Location perfect. Value for money. Brilliant for dog owners. Staff friendly. Food excellent.
Excellent location, in a beautiful old-old-old house (St. Ignatius lived there!). Now this is the type of hostel room that backpackers/pilgrims look for e.g. it's a shared bathroom. The room is small and basic, but comfortable (the bed was excellent). There's no elevator and our room was up several flights of stairs - and we are not pilgrims - we had luggage. But, if you are aware of all this, it's a great place. And the free parking in front is a big bonus. Breakfast places down the street open early.
