Albergue O Peirao, hotel in A Guarda

Boasting a garden, terrace and views of mountain, Albergue O Peirao is situated in A Guarda, 300 metres from Praia do Porto.

Great camino place, with dedicated spots for backpacks and boots. Big space with laundry facilities. Small but cosy kitchen where it was nice to talk to other pilgrims. Very kind girl at reception.

La SIGRINA Tuy, hotel in A Guarda

Located 32 km from Estación Maritima, La SIGRINA Tuy offers 3-star accommodation in Tui and features a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace.

La SIGRINA Tuy was our sanctuary after a long day of walking the Portugeuse Camino, there was nothing that we didn't like. Our room was delightful, spacious, modern, soft comfortable bed, air-conditioned, TV, WIFI, neat and tidy bathroom with plenty of towels. There were many communal spaces in the hostel to enjoy, we only spent time on the rooftop terrace for an afternoon drink and use the drying rack in the last of the afternoon sunshine. Overnight it was all quiet at the hostel, all guests were respectful of each other, in fact there are signs on the walls in the common areas reminding others to be quiet. Breakfast is served from 0730, each room is assigned a table with your breakfast supplies on, which was a generous plate of sliced bread, sweet pastries and cake. There was yoghurts, juice, packs of slices cold meat and cheese in the refrigerator for all, as well as cereals, biscuits and fresh fruit. I prearranged with La SIGRINA prior to our arrival for the use of a kettle to make a tea otherwise theres only coffee or milk. Check-in was completed on-line a day or two in-advance and an access code was given for entry into the building, there was no staff to welcome us and everything went well. A most enjoyable stay.

I loved this place! The guy at reception was super nice and gave me recommendations on what to explore. Make sure you leave time in your camino to see this city! There is a very big outside area to chill, decent kitchen space and comfy beds with privacy.

You have the curtain in the bed with private light and outlet. There a full kitchen with oven, toaster, and kettle. There hang out spaces inside and outside.. there's a washer dryer for €7. The owner and cleaning lady are very friendly and helpful.. even have a space heater with thick blankets. Good value. Perfect view from your room. Staff are nice. Normal breakfast with amazing view. Book your breakfast on arrival is cheaper than book it in advance.

Good stay along the Camino. It is a hostel but it is quite a good one. Nonetheless, sleeping on a top bunk is not as fun and easy as it once was.

Cute small hostel run by a really nice guy, it's one upstairs room for the bunk beds but doesn't feel overcrowded. Everyone gets a locker and a space for bag storage. There's laundry downstairs (washer and dryer) and a few different spots to sit in. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area, the bathrooms feel new and clean too. Also only a short walk away from the harbour, restaurants and small supermarket (with a bigger one just a little bit further). Front door has a code so you can just leave whenever you want the next morning.

I loved the layout, cleanliness and overall feeling of the albergue. You can see that a lot of care was taken to design it and maintain. I felt safe and welcomed there. I appreciated the design of the lockers and backpack storage as well privacy curtains on every bed. There was even a little pocket to place things in, a light, an outlet and USB port on every bed. Great windows and ventilation for COVID safety and hot days. Thank you to the Hosteleros for creating such a calm, relaxing environment! My stay was awesome!
