September 6th was my first day on the Camino departing from St-Jean-Pied-de-Port. It was raining cats and dogs the whole day and I did not have a raincoat. The more wet I got, the colder I felt.
I started to tremble, but I kept walking 30 km to this hostel where a person later helped me to wash my shoes. I liked him at first sight and from that day he slowly became my Camino partner.
In 40 days we walked together to Santiago de Compostela and to Muxía and Fisterra.
Featuring a garden, terrace, bar and free WiFi, ALBERGUE SAN NICOLAS is located in Larrasoaña, 17 km from Pamplona Catedral and 17 km from Plaza del Castillo.
Albergue Kortarixar has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Elizondo. Located around 45 km from Hendaye Train Station, the hostel with free WiFi is also 45 km away from FICOBA.

The bed was comfortable, nice hot shower, room quiet so I got a good night's sleep after a very long drive and another long drive next day.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Very clean, spacious bathrooms, nice bunk beds, coffee machine and washer and dryer. The reception guy was very helpful with everything. You have a code for the door. So you can leave and come back when you want. It’s right on the Camino and just 3 km from Roncesvalles
The check-in host was very friendly and helpful. The hostel is very clean. It is a very comfortable place to stay. They have a coffee machine (pay) for a morning coffee.
If you are traveling on the camino , then you will Enjoy the location. It is about a mile and a half or 2k from roncesvalles. Cost of the room is only a few pennies more than staying at the hostel in ron. Showers are nice and water is plentiful for a good rinse off from coming down the mountain. Grocery store, Atm and restaurants are very close. Nice area to wash your clothes as well and hang them outside.
Very clean and modern. Quieter hostel/ albergue if you want to avoid the busy roncevalles albergue. Facilities were really clean. Amenities nearby like pharmacy and supermarket.
This hostel was sparkling clean. The mattress was a little soft and made my hips hurt and the top bunk had no sides so I was in danger of falling off. The kitchen was clean and convenient next to the fireplace and communal tables. It is only 1.5 miles from Roncevalles on a beautiful path and I should have stayed here instead of Roncevalles because there were soooo many people at Roncevalles. There is a wonderful grocery store just up the road and a wonderful cafe just down the road. I highly recommend this hostel.
you can borrow the hair dryer here ,there’s a kitchen you can use if you have time to cook by yourself ! most important thing is the hostel is very clean !
