Comfortable bed. I am 63 years old and didn't like the thought of being assigned an upper bed. But I grew to love it after the first night and stayed there for another 3 nights although I was allowed to move to a floor level bed. The upper bed makes no noise when you move around. And it is very quiet whereas there are noisy storage drawers being opened / closed below the floor level beds.

This is a magical place, you feel like you're away from everything while you're only a 20 mins drive from the beach and 30 minutes drive from Bilbao centre. Friendly, warm owners, HUGE family room, organic garden, farm animals and delicious breakfast with homemade cake. We were sad to leave.

Really clear communication about check in, clear and helpful directions, really nice staff. Very clean facilities felt very safe. The location could not be beat (right next to the Guggenheim + easy access to the center) and the price was excellent. The bed was fairly comfy, and there were adequate work spaces. Finally, the ambiance/deco was nice, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Ganbara Hostel - Self Check In is set in the heart of Bilbao’s old town, on one of its famous Siete Calles, or Seven Streets. It offers free Wi-Fi, 2 communal lounges and a shared kitchen.
Small room. Good option for overnight sleep, if you don't plan to spend much time at room or hostel. One of the cheapest options in Bilbao. Location is quite good, close the bus station and touristic parts of city are easily reachable even by foot. Bathroom was clean (but also small).

I spent one week in Ibis Budget Bilbao City where the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great location being 5 min away from the Intermodal bus station, 20 min walk to Guggenheim Museum and close to an aldi. The breakfast was delicious at a reasonable price of 8€. The room was big and had a very comfortable bed. Totally recommend, had a wonderful stay in Bilbao.

Everything was absolutely flawless.
Very cheap, so perfect if you just need a simple hostel, basically just a bed to sleep in, a little kitchen and common room. You're definitely not paying for extra facilities. Lots of backpackers doing el camino, all ages, but not really a social hostel. Quiet and most people are in bed early which is nice.
