The property is so cute. All the staff are wonderful and so helpful. Tamara, the owner, is lovely. The Yoga classes were great as well. The free breakfast, which changes daily, was always super tasty.

I liked it, the hotel has a nice garden, the rooms are comfortable, all the furniture in teak wood and fast internet. It was what I was looking for, a quiet place within walking distance to the beach. The managers Susan and Ruben are very charismatic people.

What an exceptionally lovely hostel! All the staff and volunteers go out of their way to be friendly and helpful, and as a result the hostel has a very welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place for solo travellers as it's really easy to feel at home at the hostel, particularly with the activities offered (e.g. group meals). Wonderful location and vibes, wish I could have stayed longer!

Very friendly and helpful volunteers. First mixed dorm was not so good, but then I talked to the staff and they switched to a female dorm. This was a very comfortable room, very clean, with AC and nice bathroom. Definitely changed my stay plus the people there. Volunteers cook up nice stuff for an affordable price. They do nice cocktails and they have very nice live music on Fridays. I would definitely come back. And very affordable prices.

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The location of the hostel is perfect, not too far from the beach but not on the first line. It is surrounded by little restaurants and cafes while maintaining calm atmosphere.
Ellen and her family are the kindest hosts you could ask for! They were very communicative and helped us get to the accommodation, as well as helping us once we were there. Accommodation was clean and it feels like a very safe place. For anyone traveling from oversees - Ellen asks for a 50% deposit which you need to transfer via a payment service. This is normal for Ecuador and you can trust her :-). Olon and the beach is amazing, great surfing any many cute cafes. Would recommend!
The room and all facilities were very clean and the host Peter was kind enough to let us check in early and check out late without additional cost. The garden has lots of spaces to relax and the hostel is close to the beach.
Great place with amazing people who are running it. The location is very good, very close to a beach and the it is very cheap. You get what you pay for, don't expect a luxury, but it is simple, good and friendly.
A nice quiet hostel in Olón. Very close to the beach - less than a 5 minute walk. Also close to restaurants etc. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and had a hot shower. The bed linen was changed during our stay. Strong wifi and a large communal kitchen for cooking.
The vibe was great and the owners were very kind, sweet, and accommodating. I arrived earlier than expected to check in and they were very courteous with me; had my room ready very quickly. It felt like I was staying at an old friend's place, super chill! A great spot to stay while visiting Olon; I wish I could have stayed longer and if I return to Olon I will definitely be staying there again!
It is a short walk from the beach, close to some delicious food, and safe to walk around. Loved Olon and its people, and loved Hostel Gran Azul!
