The Casa is located close proximity to the town. We had a car, but it was very walkable. The grounds were lovely and the staff were very kind. They even gave us a room better suited for 3 single people. They even helped us arrange a night jungle tour the day we arrived. I would definitely stay here again with friends or as a family. Our breakfast was amazing and more than we expected. They were even very accommodating to my vegan friends.

The staff were all really friendly, very nice people. The kitchen has everything you might need, and is always clean. Laundry service is available. The bathrooms are clean, hot water always available. The location of the hostel is great, it is just one street away from the main part of town, so you don't get a lot of traffic and it's a quieter area. The hostel appears to have two parts, an older section and a newer section. The newer section looks really nice. The older section is all made of wood, that's where we stayed because we were trying to be cheap. But still our room was comfortable. There is a nice area with hammocks and tables. We heard that Mindo gets busy mostly on the weekends, and we were there during the week, so it was really quiet and at times we were the only people there. Also, the staff was really helpful, gave us tips on local buses etc.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Great location in Mindo town. The hummingbirds were always around the hostel. Make sure you do the humming bird feeding experience if you stay in Mindo!
Family very friendly and welcoming, great location not too far out of Mindo (easy walk or cheap taxi), peaceful, really good breakfast, nothing too much trouble (free laundry etc)
Very very friendly people, I had a nice stay and felt safe and comfortable.
It was just hard to find. There is no sign on the house and the people around couldn't help me find it. Maybe it would be helpful if it is more present next to the other hotels and hostels.
The staff is super kind and helpful! The breakfast was super plentiful, and super relaxing to watch the birds while eating. They had lots of recommendations on things to do in the surrounding area, even telling me the cheaper places to eat (as I´m a single traveler trying to budget). It´s outside of the little town which is great! I will definitely be staying there when I come back to visit.
excellent place to stay in Mindo, with hot water, good internet and safe parking spot for the car. all very clean and big comfortable beds. rooms have access to terrace. the hostel is located next to the river in the forest you wake up with the songs of the birds .The best coffee served for breakfast. Asem and his wife are the best hosts you could imagine. we felt immediately at home
This is a lovely hostel, a little off the main road which had me worried walking there at night alone, but actually mindo is a very safe place and it wasn't very far. Hummingbirds everywhere, beautiful house and a friendly atmosphere.
The common area was lovely and nice to meet people. Kitchen looked clean and could top up water. Could book tours through the hostel. Location was nice for getting back to nature and only a 5 min walk to town. Hummingbird feeders were a lovely touch. Cheap laundry
Paola, the host, is extremely friendly and recommended and even organized tours for us. The hostel is very beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and all in all there is nothing one could criticise. Best hostel ever!!
