Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Great location, close to the town centre. Staff speaks English and is very professional. There are books, water kettles and coffee cups you can borrow on the ground floor, with instant coffee packs provided. Nice option for budget travellers.
Located about 20-25 minutes pleasant walk from downtown area. Parking lot is good deal if you can find a spot. We arrived after all spots were taken, so Hotel staff provided a map for parking next to the nearby Youth Hostel which is free at night. We parked there overnight and in the morning got the car before day charges began, and drove back to hotel to take a parking spot.
Staff very friendly and helpful and helped me secure my bags safely when I arrived early. Spacious rooms. Great location, 10 or so mins walk from train station and directly opposite the Roman Porta Nigra gate.
Excellent location, quiet back street location just off the main pedestrian shopping and sightseeing districts, plenty of bars and restaurants. Food & drinks are cheaper in Germany than Belgium so budget of 80-100 Euros/day for 2 adults is sufficient to enjoy at bars and restaurants.
Cheerful and very helpful front desk services. Parking is easy and cheap at 10 Euro/day, just across the one-way street.
Free fruits, tea and coffee at lobby.
Dollar for good value!
The location of the hotel was great, just a short walk to the Hauptmarkt. The room was a good size and clean. Parking was good in the city carpark, just a few minutes walk away, and slightly cheaper than the hotel's carpark The hotel was very Covid focused and felt safe. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with lots to choose from.
price, location, THE STAFF (all the front desk employees, the cleaning staff, the manager), flexibility, safety, everything. i loved kolping hostel. it's perfect for what it is meant to be - accessible affordable shelter. they take all the cleanliness and covid precautions.
