Hotelový dům Areál, hotel in Ostrava - Zábřeh

This huge building was refurbished in 2012, the rooms are clean and equipped with a fridge, TV, some chairs and a desk, also a kettle and mugs are available. Two rooms share a bathroom, the bathroom is a bit dated (early 1980 design ) but clean. The internal gangway is a bit dark and has some bad odour.

Ubytovna u hospůdky, hotel in Ostrava-město

Located in Ostrava and within 2.1 miles of Main Train Station Ostrava, Ubytovna u hospůdky has a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property.

Everything was as expected. Front desk woman was nice. Had a cool Soviet-era feel to it, which I liked. I was only there for less than 24 hours. This was the cheapest place to stay in Ostrava. There are no hostels. I came to town to watch the hockey game. I think most people continue on to Kotavice, Krakow to the north or Brno to the south. It was worth a night, though.
