It's central to La Fortuna so restaurants & stores are walking distance. The hostel also gives you info for the bus on how to get there from San Jose Airport which is awesome & they can also set you up w/ tours and if you pay cash it's cheaper than getting it through Viator, and they pick up at the hostel.
There's no AC in the dorms, but there is a mini fan above you that kept me cool during the night time.

We rented the apartment and it was a great size! Shower pressure was great, a cute little balcony to sit out on and they provided coffee, oil, salt etc… which was a lovely touch. They have lots of tours you can organise with the staff and everybody is happy to help.

Moving into another room from the capsule. The private room with bathroom was lovely with the exception of the two roaches I killed (but I totally get that's to be expected in the tropics). Even the tent was so much better than the capsule with room to spread out and the temperature in it was still nice at night even in July. Staff was for the most part pretty unhelpful except for the guy in the kitchen and the younger girl at check in who was lovely.

Excellent value for money. Great location. Close to a supermarket, which was good to utilise the kitchen. Esteban was very friendly, helpful and responsive. He organised a shuttle to Monteverde for us that was cheaper than anywhere else we could find. I even got an invite to go and play Soccer with his local friends.
The hostel accommodation is very clean and the owner is very attentive and ready help for everything u needed . It is a very pleasant time. we have so much fun on hot spring, the best hospitality, and cheapest hostel in Costa Rica
This is the one and only hostel for La Fortuna and visiting the volcano Arenal + surroundings. Wilson is simply the best host ever! He organized everything and gave us great tips what to do for fun on a budget. The hostel is clean, comfy, has a great kitchen and is quiet. (Budget) Backpackers+Travellers, this is your address! The owner Wilson is very enthusiastic and will give you tons of great budget recommendations for the area. There’s a hostel group chat that creates an awesome sense of community. Really great for meeting people and exploring La Fortuna for cheap!
I'd like this hostel totally! It was really clean, the host where supporting us all the time and available. They presented a wall with all activitys you can do and organized Pizzaevenings or nighttrips to the Hotsprings. There was nice space to chill and get in contact with other backpackers. It was really clean and near the center, but on a calm area. Was the best hostel on my trip since 2 month! Thanks!
The swimming pool area, bar and communal area is great- it's very clean and feels very safe and is a lovely place to spend time and meet fellow backpackers. The pod was surprisingly sound proof and had air con. The showers were hot! Which was great!
It had a great pool, nice hangout areas if it’s not raining. Rooms were basic but did the job and was nice to not have a bunk bed (although ours was the only room without). Great location in the centre of the town. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Generally a spacious and nice hostel.
great location and priced low like a hostel but you get your own room and bathroom for same budget that most shared accomodations charge. For a last minute place to crash at a budget it was good. Basic but clean and private which is all we needed
