It was just so lovely, spotless and comfortable. I was able to wash and dry my clothes so an excellent stop on a longer trip. I also lived that they provided filter coffee. All in all excellent

Everything is clean. The dorm, the bathroom and the kitchen. The house seems to be older, but it's obvious that it's been taken care of. There is immediate hot water in the shower.
The area is very safe and you can reach the centre of San José easily by bus.

The breakfast was lovely, the staff even made us one early and wrapped it up for us when we had an early bus out of the city one morning. The facilities are super cute and cozy and great work spots for digital nomads. Would definitely stay again!

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Family run and so friendly and safe. Loved the garden & inside outside vibe. The area is gorgeous and has great shops & restaurants.
Breakfast is huge, but you can tailor it to your needs. Poor dad went from trying to feed me everything to 2 perfectly boiled eggs.
A great base in San Jose and a very nice neighbourhood.
Perfect location (5 mn away from town and yet pretty distant from the city noise)
Good security
Excellent internet
Good view
Friendly and helpful host
Although the fridge was making terrible noise at my arrival and the safe box was not working, the host solved both problems pretty quickly.
Great location for us because we were visiting friends a couple of doors down. Nice area, patrolled by a security guard so felt safe and there was a lovely restaurant area nearby with some good food and bars on offer. Room is as simple but comfortable and clean and the fan was a welcome addition. Space to sit outside and have breakfast.
We really loved our stay at Cosy Apartment Mirador. It was a wonderful base and felt like home for us. We spent two weeks there as we needed to explore the Central Valley. It is in a great location and extremely peaceful, which was wonderful after the hustle and bustle of the city. Our host, Gonelli, was very welcoming and informative. The views from the apartment are magnificent and we thoroughly enjoyed late afternoons sitting on the balcony. I would highly recommend this apartment!
