Farid and Juliana were exceptional hosts—so welcoming and friendly, they really made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived and they genuinely care about their guests.
The hostel itself is spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay: the beds are cozy, the kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s even a space to hang out clothes which came in very handy.

The location is stunning with a lovely lake view. It is quiet with only nature around. The two ladies who run the place are very attentive and always there when you need them. The yoga sessions they deliver are very inclusive. Security is very good.

Stayed here for 3 nights over New Year. It is located a short distance from the centre and although close to everything it was very quiet and totally safe. The hostel is very clean, well maintained with an adequate kitchen and good WiFi. Nice eating area and communal zone with a balcony. Curtains around the beds in the dorms provides good privacy. I made a mistake in my booking and they allowed me to change my dates with less than 24 hours notice. Much appreciated. Diego was very helpful and speaks excellent English. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Tip: Take the bus to "La Piedra", 80% cheaper than a tuktuk.

Just got home from an amazing stay at Volare. Pedro and Ledi were super kind and helpful during our stay and gave us the best attention possible. We met Juanma the owner and he is a great person as well full of recommendations for your stay. The place is stunning. Good Location, cozy cabins, delicious food and plenty of activities to do. It is impossible to get bored.

We loved the idea of the ecohostel. Even though the attention to sustainability was clear, the rooms and restaurant were very well designed and kept. The employees were incredibly kind and welcoming. The location was just outside of San Rafael, an authentic Colombian Pueblo. River on the properly made made lovely sounds all the time.
