Location next to the river was beautiful, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the flora and fauna around the hostel was amazing, it was a hidden gem tucked away from all the tourists. Its a shirt walk to the main road and as soon as you cross the road there is a moto taxi stand where you can catch a bike in Guachaca town. The buses also stop directly opposite the road that EcoHostal is down.

The kindest people working in this place and their service was something I couldn’t recommend enough. I had a medical emergency while in the hostel and they all helped me and gave me all the help I needed. I have then in my heart for life :)

Very nice hosts and staff and also really lovely dogs. Vicki prepares great meals for dinner and some days she and Toni play good electronic music at the bar, which is placed on a pirate ship. We loved the many great paintings and details like a canon on the ship.
Besides, the kitchen was well equipped and clean and it was nice to have direct access to the river to cool down. We had a great time at the hostel, so that we extended our stay.

Staff were very friendly and were extremely helpful with an issue we had (not hotel related). Location is stunning. The optional vegetarian dinner was delicious. Only a 10 minute walk from the beach but feels really remote.

We stayed in the cabañas and they are beautiful. An al fresco shower is such a great touch.
The permaculture tour was wonderful too, so insightful and interesting. They are doing some really special work there. I cannot flaw the place. It is a bit of bop to get too but it is so worth it, I wish we could’ve stayed longer

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Had the larger dorm room with 4 bunk beds and hence it felt very spacious for 1 pax. Breakfast was yummy and the location is close to everything. Great that the staff spoke English as it helps, given my limited command of Spanish.
Nice beach location and relatively cheap private rooms compared to the other places along the beach, helpful staff. Close to lots of other bars and restaurants
Great location, very helpful staff. The individual rooms/pods and very nice. It is possible to use the facilities of the hostel next door (restaurant, swimming pool etc). There is a fan in the room to keep cool at night.
Great location right at the beach. Nice room, very comfortable. Right at a camping spot where you can purchase a good breakfast (not expensive) and coffee for free.
Kind staff, great value, amazing pool, right at the beach, good and sufficient amenities. Would recommend booking the 10 bed jungle room rather than the one with 8 beds.
A place for a peaceful stay but there are several other hostels in walking distance that you can go to for a party.
Still, easy to meet other travelers!
We had the best stay at Encanto! Harold was so welcoming and helpful and the hostel itself feels really new and clean. It’s a great spot to stay in to visit the waterfalls at Poza Encanta, Medihuaca beach and Tayrona Park - we also could leave our big rucksacks there whilst we were at the park which was super helpful.
The food was also excellent - especially the coco rice and fruit from the garden, and the dogs were the cutest.
we stayed in the first cabin, just next to the beach so it was amazing how close to the sea we were!
the beach was very empty and sea water was just perfect for the hot days
arranged nicely, beautiful palm trees around the tents
clean room and bathroom
nice staff, helped us organize a taxi
very good and quite cheap meals in the hostel next door
Service and staff were fantastic. Out host Laura was brilliant and spoke perfect English. i could not speak more highly of her and the other staff there. Great location and good parties in the nearby hostels. cocktails were also very cheap!!!
