The property is located in an ideal location - close to the walled city and center of Getsemani, but in a quiet street of Getsemani. Close to everything you are looking for as a tourist. Staff are welcoming and friendly and a special shout out to Jolie and Jose at the front desk. The breakfast was great all 3 days of my stay and the menu changes daily, the rooms are equipped with an AC, fridge and the wifi is strong. Water in the shower was luke warm but you don't really need hot water in Cartagena. The hotel has a warm, homely feeling about it and I made the absolute right choice staying there

I LOVED staying here. Ana and David are terrific hosts- kind, warm-hearted, helpful and knowledgeable. I can't say enough about how good they were to me, always finding little ways to make my stay easy and pleasant (such as Ana repairing the broken strap on my purse with her sewing machine after I asked for a safety pin, David running to get me an umbrella when rain poured down, David discussing Colombia's history with me or talking about the artworks at the Museo del Arte Moderne with me after my visit there--- He knows the collection well!). I was attending language classes and both of them helped me with my inadequate Spanish- but if you don't speak Spanish they can speak to you in English. The little lobby of the hotel, where a simple and tasty breakfast is served, is charming. My room and its bathroom were small but perfectly comfortable-- and this is Getsemaní, so small is normal. For the price the room was great-- cosy, brightly decorated, and so clean. The location is perfect for exploring Getsemaní and the old city. If I go back to Cartagena I will stay with them again.

Location, free salsa class, other travellers were really friendly. Potential for a nice roof top but unfortunately this felt really abandoned with only a couple of chairs and an empty pool (this is maybe different in high season)

Amazing vibe here and very social. The breakfast was yummy and the bed was very comfortable. We liked the small hang out spaces and the staff were very friendly. The location was great for walking and exploring the city, with both expensive more touristy food places and cheaper (but still yummy) street food and local restaurants in walking distance.

The hostel is really clean and beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the location which felt safe and there were no harrassing vendors in the area. Although it's a bit far, we walked to the historical center without problem even if it was dark. The breakfast was good! I was there with my 12 y.o. and he enjoyed it too. This was my sixth accommodation in Cartagena and so far the best quality for the price!
Best hostel breakfast ever! Always a choice of fresh options, really substantial and was great every morning. Free coffee, drinking water and ice 24/7. Hostel is in a fab location and the staff were incredible friendly and helpful - cheap laundry service too!

Cozy and family run hotel in a great location. Room was spacious and comfortable room with great AC, hammocks and rocking chairs in the homely lounge area.
The couple who run this hostel really care. They helped us contact the police when we were unfortunately targeted by a scam on a beach in the outskirts of Cartagena, and their assistance helped us get out of things safe and evade the scam.

This is probably one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at many. The location is amazing, the staff is lovely, the dorms are great and well equipped (curtains on beds, AC, own power plug and light by bed, locker), there are social areas to hang out, the breakfast is great and there is someone at reception 24/7, so it's very safe. There's even a Netflix room. And the cats are sweet.
I was even able to use the pool and shower before check-in, as I arrived early.
Perfect stay for me: great location & facilities, very nice staff, relaxed atmosphere (particularly around the pool), deli breakfast, kind of party hostel but not too loud/long, everything was clean ( I don’t understand other reviews), this was one of the best hostels I stayed during my six weeks in Colombia! 😃
A great location with an excellent breakfast (choice of savoury or sweet pancakes, juice and unlimited coffee) and the lady at the breakfast was so lovely, she went out of her way to ask us about our trip and what we were doing next. The aircon in the private en-suite room was great. The hostel felt safe as the front door was locked and someone had to let you in and out.
