Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
We visited during the carnival and were lucky to find something so budget friendly, so obviously our expectations weren't super high. The hostel itself is quite nice, I have no complaints about the room. Bed was good, room was clean, AC was functioning. Perfectly sufficient for a place to sleep.
Great location in a safe walkable neighbourhood. Many restaurants & shops nearby. Could walk to/from many carnival activities. Clean. Spacious room. Shower had good pressure. Nice outdoor seating area. Close to intercity shuttles. Staff were friendly. Would stay again.
Great location in a nice safe neighbourhood. The room was clean, bright, spacious, comfortable and breakfast buffet was copious with a wide choice of food and good quality fruits.
Rafael is an excellent host, very attentive to making your stay as comfortable as possible. I started with one night but spent a week because it's so good: great location, comfortable rooms with fridge, aircon, tv. Close to restaurants, shops, a nice safe residental area close to lots of amenities. It's a great place, highly recommend!
The restaurant of the hotel is very nice and cheap ! The staff are so friendly but you have to speak spanish to make you understand because none speak english that's a pity !! The staff can call you a taxi if you ask. Necessary because on night the area is not sure and safe.
The staff were lovely, the room was clean, the room was spacious and came with a TV and mini fridge. The wifi was also good. It was a great location to stay to celebrate carnival and it felt safe and secure.
The location was good (close to a shopping centre, atm, pharmacies etc) and felt safe enough (Barranquilla generally didn't feel safe at all) and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hostel is very close to THE Salsa bar 'La Troja'. Definitely worth a visit💃🕺
The Room was very cheap but in good shape and the location was fine , nothing exciting but safe and secure.
Comfortable bed and good AC / Wifi - free parking avail under the hotel which was nice because I had a rental car.
There was a little pool - nothing fancy but clean and nice if you wanted to cool off and have a beer or a glass of wine of if you have kids.
The neighborood was safe to walk around but nothing exciting - just some bars, restaurants, grocery stores
