Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
It is a very comfortable and homely hostel. The room has a bathroom and shower, clean sheets and air conditioning. You can arrive late, they welcome you with warm water and guide you in whatever you need. The reception person is very kind and always helps you.
You can easily walk to the old city.
Very friendly staff, beautiful setting, comfortable room with modern clean bathroom, attached to restaurant with good food options & nice included breakfast! Great location in the centre near to the south wall for the evening light show
The place was amazing for the cheap value.
The breakfast was great and the room was really comfortable.
The staff so kind and pendent all the time, they help me to reach the train station.
An amazing stay in central Pingyao Old Town. The hotel is very stylishly decorated (in contrast to many other cheesy ones in Pingyao. The room is spacious and the courtyard is nice and quiet. The breakfast is mostly homemade and delicious. The staff is super friendly and attentive. They treated us with tea upon arrival, then afternoon tea. They even remember we preferred whole meal bread from the previous day’s breakfast. It’s not a cheap place (given the general price level in China) but it’s a very memorable experience.
Great location. Excellent and helpful staff. Loved the property. You are in the heart of the ancient city. The light and sound show is almost next door. Arranged complimentary pick up from station and drop off at station. We would have missed the light and sound show if not their coffee shop staff had not advised us. They also gave us beautiful mementoes when we were leaving.
The restaurant food was actually really great, although the "free breakfast" was just a toast with a runny egg and a couple of dumpling reheated in the microwave. Its an overall quite cheap hostel.
The owner speaks English and she is very kind. I booked a bed in a dormitory but she gave me the entire room for me with a private toilet. The bed is hard but I slept so well. I highly recommend it!
Nice central location. Courtyard hotel with lots of character. English speaking hosts. Cheap meals on site. Arranged a safe and reliable driver to Mianshan mountain for a day trip.
