It was a great stay, the owner is a very lovely lady, she was very comprehensive and welcoming and waited for me until very late at night to come in. The location is amazing, would absolutely recommend.

The hotel is very easily accessible with the local tram network. The staff at reception as well as in the kitchen or the cleaners are all very friendly and competent. They go the extra mile to make you feel welcome as a guest.

Very friendly and helpful staff, 10 out of 10. The location is in a quiet area, with a playground for children, and it's great that the restaurant is open. The hotel is clean, even though the shower and toilet are shared, but the room has a specific smell. Breakfast is simple, but it certainly didn't disappoint.
The Oldtown Hostel Otter and its old-established Wüste Bar is a stylish place for the young-at-heart in Zürich's Old Town, about 300 metres from the Zürich-Stadelhofen train station and the lake.

I felt comfortable at this hostel.
The lady attending the place is very nice after you get to know her a bit. I got nice conversations with other guests and the bett was very comfortable, even had curtains, that was a plus!
Id stay again here.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The location of the hostel was very nice close to the lake, plus you get all kitchen utensils to cook your meals, the patio was also a nice place to sit and chat. And if you are travelling by train it is close to major cities in Switzerland.
great location - 7 min walk to the beach, 4 minutes driving to supermarket. Great value for money - you have everything what you need for a reasonable price
House of harmony is a little gem of a hotel. Delicious, immaculately prepared and plentiful breakfast. Very clean rooms and very helpful, professional and courteous staff.
I have no hesitation in booking again.
Car park across the road is cheap (free weekends)
Easy access to roads into Zurich or to nice spots by the lake.
The place is very different from the hostels I experienced around the world. Stylish but also really cosy with very lovely and friendly owners. You find all essential things, there is a limited number of rooms so it's not that mass tourism place like HI. Still you easily meet people. You can walk for 15 minutes to the train station, but also direct hikes from the place through the wine yards and meadows are great to manage. We really enjoyed our stay and even prolonged because we liked the place so much.
