. The play area outside and activities were so good for the kids and the views from the lodge are just very special. You won't regret going up and staying virtually on your own. Service by the staff were super nice and friendly and the place is first class.

Clean and comfortable beds and rooms (we booked 2 rooms in the summer - a 4 bed and a single bed).
Great services for both rooms and restaurant - we each received a welcome drink, and when we had to check-out before the office officially opens in the morning, they were super friendly with us and helped us completed the checkout (we had to return more than just the keys).
There was also a spacious and nice common kitchen with a full kitchen and many tables for dining. We boiled water every day when we needed it.
The hostel is 100 m down the road from a bus stop. It was perfect for us who travelled by train. There are also some parking spaces for people who travelled by car.
This modern hostel is situated in Lucerne, 2 km away from the train station and the city centre. It offers a cosy lounge with TV and a library with reading corner.

Very friendly and helpful staff, 10 out of 10. The location is in a quiet area, with a playground for children, and it's great that the restaurant is open. The hotel is clean, even though the shower and toilet are shared, but the room has a specific smell. Breakfast is simple, but it certainly didn't disappoint.

This hostel was luxurious by hostel standards. The location and building were gorgeous. The rooms and bathroom were beautifully appointed and fastidiously clean, the welcome was friendly and efficient and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
We were traveling through; therefore, this was a convenient place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and check-in after midnight was no problem due to the safe lockers for which we received a code where the key was. Simple but fresh breakfast with different breads and croissants, jams, cheeses, and meat. Clean and big room with a functional bathroom with hot water, towels, and shampoo. It was beautifully located close to the lake.
Very warm welcome. Kind and friendly staff. We enjoyed a refreshing draft beer on arrival. Undercover & safe parking for our motorbike. Very comfy bed. Lovely breakfast. Gasthaus Schäfli is not modern, but although the facilities are simple and rather dated, we had everything we needed, enjoyed a lovely stay and would stay again with no hesitation. We loved it! Great location, the rooms were good with a great balcony over looking the lake. The Bathrooms were a good size, however , the towels were very thin and not was expected.
The staff in restaurant were very good and the food excellent (If expensive).. However, the menu had very limited choices, so whilst food was good, there was very little choice
We were very happy with our stay at this nice old-fashioned European style hotel.
The host provided a safe place to store our bicycles overnight and made it possible to get the bikes out early before the hotel opened. Our bed was super comfortable.
