This place worked very well for me and my friend on a budget. The location is a bus ride away from the inner city of Vancouver and the views from the beach are a fun bonus of being outside of the city. The beds were comfortable with a light and outlet plug for each bed. I liked that the 16 person room was decided into 4 room by 4 bed spaces, separated by a curtain for a little bit of privacy. The staff was also very kind during check in and when I was trying to do laundry:)
Please note that this is a self check-in property and a budgeted accommodations. Guests are required to bring their own personal hygiene items (ie. shampoo, toiletries, towels).

Clean, close to metro, nice neighbourhood! Owner was helpful, communicative and always available. Will come back!
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
I selected the hostel for its location and relatively cheap price. Please mind, that across the road there is a building where the junkies live. It is safe, but vibes...
Amazing facilities, great location, a bit expensive but the cheapest hostel in Vancouver. Awesome evening experiences too! Staff would go above and beyond, clean, great kitchen and bathroom facilities - travelled the world and can say I’m very happy with the hostel
Great location, very safe and walkable to Stanley Park, Granville Island and Downtown.
2 minutes away from supermarkets and eateries.
Hostel was lovely, 4 bed female dorm, spacious with several chargers and light on bed. Bunk beds very new, not noisy!
Washroom always clean. Staff friendly.
Cheap price for Vancouver! Lots of good food options, walk to Stanley park, felt safe and staff were kind to the kiddos. If you're looking for budget accommodation this will do the trick.
For the money, the location was dope. Within walking distance to everything we needed. Hostel offered plenty of advice on cheap things to do in Van and how to meet other backpackers.
Good location, cheap stay in Vancouver. The beds were comfy and having rooms of four people allowed for a more quiet night than at other hostels with larger rooms.
The Barclay is in a great location and it is cheap. It was clean but dated which is expected for the price they charge. It is about a 15 walk to the airport. Honestly, with other hotels in the city charging double, it's hard to beat the Barclay if you're traveling on a budget.
Booked a private bunk bed room which is a great option if you are on a budget and travelling as a couple (this was the cheapest option we could find in Downtown Vancouver). The beds were really comfortable and our room was quiet so we had a good sleep. Locked storage available in the rooms.
Great location with lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Hot showers and good WiFi strength.
The price was much cheaper than other accommodations nearby. It took me less than 5 min to walk from the Waterfront train station to the hostel (note: the skytrain from YVR airport takes you directly to the Waterfront train station). The location was very central, only 10 min away by foot from Canada Place. The bathrooms were cleaner than I expected. They had dorms for 2-female bunk beds, so it was more comfortable than dorms with more beds.
