Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
The two young women working security at the door were wonderful and sweet. However, I didn't feel safe for them. The man at the desk should have been there and not take 30 minutes to arrive each time they called him. The airconditioning worked well.
Friendly staff, quaint centenary house. The bed has aa curtain to keep some privacy, no bunk beds, which is a plus. Best was the shower, with towel and shampoo included, very good bathroom. Breakfast was great, DIYO in the shared kitchen. Very pleased.
This is the best youth hostel I have ever stayed in, it is very clean, the house is cosy, there are many items provided, you are very kind and friendly, I feel that you are very attentive to the management, I really want to stay here a little longer.
I stayed in at least 150 hostels in my life. This one is the best! Good beds, quit, good showers, hot water, good breakfast, clean, safe and comfortable!
This is best for families students or people that want to be safe and quiet. It's the very cheapest you can get it's clean it provides soap it provides clean bedding and towels a laundromat game rooms vending machines to get snacks and drinks.
Great location, staff was helpful, decor was nice, I was glad to be able to check in early, nice that I could adjust the thermostat, the fridge was spacious, the building felt safe/secure, there were plenty of outlets and the lighting was good. It was essentially what I expected.
As a backpacker-style hostel, the historic house has been well adapted for it new purposes, with a pleasant sitting room and a modest but very functional outdoor patio. The place is very clean, and the kitchen is nicely organized and well equipped. The hosts are genial, accommodating, and appear to take great pride in their work as innkeepers. A very comfortable stay.
I stayed in the Women's Dorm. I had it to myself that weekend but there was plenty of space for 4. It had the nostalgic feeling of being at camp but with the Big Girls, lol! There is a communal kitchen, nice back patio and yard and the house is of beautiful 18th Century architecture. This is a guest house (or hostel) that caters to backpackers, so keep that in mind. This will be my go to place whenever I go to Hamilton.
