It was very clean. The staff and other guests were great. Wonderful breakfasts. Very comfortable. The distance from town was a short walk of about 10-15 minutes.

No breakfast, but in front of the hostel are fruit and snack stalls and two shops abit behind, its a 20 minute walk to town, seems to be quicker when it's dark.Theres a good walk down to the river, at the back, where you can hire a boat with owner for an hour or so.BZring your own toilet paper, it's set in a nice garden, it's rustic, there are hammocks.
The host was exceptional friendly and helpful, and the cleanest hostel i have ever stayed at!!. The Villa is located right by the forest, so viewing monkeys, birds and other animals is fantastic and also so close to the beach.
The atmosphere around the nature, well located and the private "cabine" was comfortable. Victor-Hugo who was very nice, with good advice and he animated the hostel. Really liked it.

The pousada is in a great location - you can walk pretty much anywhere in Alter. The owners and staff are really friendly and helpful - we arrived late but it wasn't an issue. The breakfast is everything you need to keep you going. I can happily recommend it.
Great location next to the beach, staff very friendly and helpful (for tour reservation, ferry booking, recommendations…) and hostel really clean.
