Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Perfect location with stunning views. Beautiful historic cottage and must admit was initially concerned about the house keeping warm due to its age, in the middle of a cold snap in Melbourne, but was very pleasantly surprised. Great location and beautiful cottage
Great location! Communication was excellent. The hosts were super friendly and provided recommendations on activities and restaurants.
Would highly recommend and would stay again!
Excellent location, just close to bus stop and 10 minutes walk from San Remo where you found all services. The building is new and more functional. Rooms and common areas very large. Each floor have an Indipendent kitchen fully equipped. Excellent Wi-Fi signal. Special attention in cleaning and maintenance activities. Staff very friendly, always available to provide information and assist guests in any situation.
The Island Accommodation is one of the best hostels that I found around the world. Absolutely recommended.
This hostel is the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are huge and well lit, will powerpoints etc. The hostel has amazing amenities and facilities. The staff are so friendly. It is definitely not a party hostel which I love. It's quiet, but everyone is up for a cuppa and a chat. They encourage families to stay, and it has such a safe, inclusive feel. Will stay here again!
We had a room for two rather than more backpacker type accommodation. The room was just what we needed with a more budget feel to it, but what I had expected for the price paid in that location. There was a large communal kitchen area to utilise if needed, as well as lounge, small dining tables, a table tennis table and several games available for use. We were happy to find an amazing little cafe next door with delicious food, lovely friendly staff and a great vibe.
Good, clean, no frills accommodation. Exceeded my expectations when I discovered after booking that it was a youth hostel. We had a queen room with ensuite. Great for a stay in summer.
Everything was above expectations, I imagined a dirty, hostel with crazy back Packers.
However this was absolutely lovely, great location, staff were attentive, Everything was clean and surprisingly alot quieter than expected, will defo be returning
