Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Great location, just a short walk to the beach and lots of cafes/restaurants with takeaway places across the road. The room was great, lots of privacy with curtains all round your bed and met some lovely people as well. I only stayed one night but genuinely one of the best hostels I've stayed in recently.
Have stayed here a few times since 2010, as a solo person who can't afford an expensive hotel rate it's great to be able to visit the area on a budget. Like the renovations. It's under better management than it had a few yrs ago. In a convenient location. I hope they keep good managers onboard as this is a good hostel when it's been taken care of properly but when there have been bad Managers in the past they had ruined the place. I'd rather stay in MBA than have to go all the way to Noosa.
Cheapest accomodation available at the time, given school holidays and short notice.
Parking available.
Walls quite sound proof.
Liked the electronic key pads to enter the room
Good proximity to the beach, river, walking paths, supermarket with only a small walk.
Good check in communication.
The staff and the people there were amazing, felt like a family. Very good installations. Close to the beach. Cool activities every week to meet people. Kitchen clean. Best hostel I have stayed so far.
New generation youth hostel, one small building with 4 persons dormitories, common living rooms with large balconies on each floor, another building with private rooms, common room with terraces, small but nice pool !
They have recently renovated the hostel which it badly needed as the previous owners just didn't care. Need to bring back the basic backpacker breakfast for the rates being charged. The Staff on Reception were very welcoming. The new pool area looks great.
