Summer House Melbourne, hotel in Melbourne

Located in St Kilda, Summer House Melbourne offers both dormitory and private rooms. There is an on-site bar and restaurant with billiards, a shared lounge area and a rooftop terrace.

Good facility and cheap. The elevator has to be used with your room key. Good security. Old building itself. The facility was maintained well with strict rules. Kitchen was not dirty. I was aware of not being close to city but there is a bus stop in front of House and St Kilda train station is 10 mins walk distance so I got myki card for one day trip and no issues for getting around.

I absolutely loved it. We got a private room, which was super safe, and all the keys are through an app that you use your phone to unlock. It’s super cool. The bathrooms were brand-new, and it didn’t feel unsafe at all using shared facilities . Incredible location, walking distance of some of Melbourne‘s best. Right across the road from holy moly

I liked that I got to have my own space, even if it was just a room, it my room for a night. I've paid more for a backpackers hostel which didn't have a smokers area, had to share with 3 other blokes and dormitory style setting. Here you get a literal house with your own safe and private (and not small either) room.

Location was good. Close to tram line. Lots of cafes near by. I only had one interaction with staff on check in and she was friendly. There was aircon and a fan in the room which helped with comfort levels on the really hot night I was there. Size of the room was good. Seems like quite a good place for backpackers and people wanting to meet new people as there are ample spaces to interact with others (at the pool table, the lounge area, the tables scattered around the hostel).

Great location . Comfortable double private room. I choose this backpackers for my 18 year old daughter who was travelling alone based on previous reviews that said it was ideal for solo travellers. She was able to meet people easily and said that both the staff and the quests were super friendly and she felt very safe. The party atmosphere helped 😃
