The fridge , the fountain was nice. Mostly quiet. Door locks were functional. Room was comfy. AC was working. No guests and no visitors policy made the stay much better as I enjoy quiet rest place. No noise policy from 8:00-22:00 is great.

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
The staff were very nice. There are posters on the walls with prisoner descriptions, which we found very interesting. It has a great location, close to restaurants, IGA, mini golf, chemists, harbour (B Shed to Rottnest), and the train station - you can be in Perth centre in about 30 min cheaply if you buy the daily ticket.
Beds were comfortable. The signage about prisoners was neat, the kitchen looked awesome but we didn't use it. The room was suffient for a one night cheap stay. Down stairs toilet seemed good. I did love the location though. We walked to town to get food.
10/10 for authenticity, novelty, and memorable experiences. A short walk from the main town, a lovely town, full of shops/cafes/restaurants and brilliant markets at the weekend. Private room was spacious and clean, safe and secure. A great stay. The hostel also put on some great events and did everything to create comfort and security.
Amazing and Unique hostel , the room was big enough for the two of us , we booked a private dorm and it was definitely worth the extra price , big kitchen with a lot of social area space.
Great staff members who any issue wasn’t an issue.
Cheap washing and dryer !!!
Plenty of thing to do locally, and themed social nights which is a great way to meet people !!
We will be back before we head home
Great Location. Clean , felt safe, being solo traveller. , Had great view close to harbour. Apartment so spacious & equipped with modern comforts, like home. Staff friendly ,& helpful.
Read in the reviews that the rooms were small and yeah they are but it was actually bigger than the previous hostel we stayed at so we didn’t think they were that bad. Room and shared spaces were clean. Probably one of the best hostel kitchens I’ve saw aswell, lots of space. Great location, close to IGA supermarket for food if using kitchen. Also close to visitor centre where you can hire free bikes. Comfortable beds. We really loved our stay here
Was absolute awesome experience, being 50 yo, staying in Youth Hostel.
Staff was friendly. For price, facilities and accom was on and beyo d expectation.
Will definately visit again and recommend to friends and fellow budget travellers.
Best hostel I’ve been in Australia so far. They have many facilities such as pool table, bar, swimming pool, 2 terraces, and a lot of different spots if you want to chill, read or rather meet new people. Everything is amazing, the staff is very friendly as well. It’s definitely one of the best place to make your experience in Australia unforgettable.
Best hostel in Australia! Staff were so friendly and the hostel had such a good vibe. I felt very safe here and it was a really good place to make friends. Free pool table, table tennis and table football! The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and the kitchen even had an oven and a freezer.
The hostel is in a great location, in the heart of Freo, close to Bathers Beach. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, which enhanced my stay. The hostel itself was bigger than expected and had all of the things a backpacker could need and more; especially loved the comfy bed and the pool! I really enjoyed my time here and met some amazing people. Personally, I think it’s the perfect place for either a short or long stay.
